Hello Folks

POSTED: 13 October 2005

Thought it might be a good idea to keep a bit of a journal to let you know what is going on in the world of Pete Lashley. The new album ‘Air Of The Gods’ is to be finished today. Sam at Stonegate Studios www.stonegate-studios.co.uk is mastering the final mixes as I write. He has done a superb job recording and engineering the album.  Andy Smith has also done a phenomenal job on drums. We’ve also introduced the sound of flute onto the album in the last song ‘The Village Rose’. Polly-Anna Ashford plays the flute on this track and captures the mood of the song spot-on.
I’m very pleased with it all and will try and get the album reviewed by as many local newspapers and radio stations as possible. I also hope to get the album reviewed by sections of the national media although this is sometimes easier said than done.

All in all though 2005 has been a very intense year gigging, recording and teaching and for that I feel very lucky. Long may it continue as I’m not always the best of company when subjected to too much of the likes of Anne Robinson and Richard & Judy. Best to keep busy eh.

Hope to see you at a gig soon.
